Laura works as a researcher on a project looking at health of people with learning disabilities.

People with learning disabilities experience poorer health than other people.

We will use information from the 2011 Scottish Census to find out why.

Information on 26,349 people with learning disabilities is included in the Scottish Census.

The Scottish Census looks at lots of information from where people live to how people feel about their health.

We will use this to find out a number of things, such as:

1) How many men and women with learning disabilities live in Scotland?

2) What age are they?

3) How many people with learning disabilities are in paid work?

4) How do people with learning disabilities in Scotland feel about their health?

We will write reports that will help us understand more about the health and lives of people with learning disabilities in Scotland.
