Physical health


People with learning disabilities experience poorer physical health than other people

Doctors and Nurses have collected information about the physical health of 1023 adults with learning disabilities living in Greater Glasgow

We looked at this information and found that people with learning disabilities have a number of physical health problems that can be painful, disabling and potentially life threatening

Some of the physical health problems included constipation, epilepsy and poor oral health

We also found that most people with learning disabilities had more than one physical health problem

We will write a report to inform people of what the most common physical health problems of people with learning disabilities are
