Health and Wellbeing for All

In-Person | 09 Sep, 2026 @ 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join us on 9th September for 'Health and Wellbeing for All', a free, public event as part of Scottish Learning Disability Week 2026.

The Scottish Learning Disabilities Observatory, Byres Community Hub and Community Organiser David Weir present 'Health and Wellbeing for All'.

This free event is open to the public and is for anyone interested in accessible healthy lifestyle activities and information about improving health and wellbeing for all. This event is part of Scottish Learning Disability Week, which is about celebrating people with learning disabilities and increasing awareness of the challenges they face every day. The event is open to all and may be of particular interest to people with learning disabilities, neurodivergent people, disabled people, families and carers, and the people and organisations who support them. The venue is fully accessible and has a Changing Places Toilet. We will be joined by a number of organisations including Glasgow Life, Wel-Co.me, Dates n Mates, Include Me too along with many more (some partners TBC). They'll be offering a range of activities, demonstrations and information about inclusive and accessible activities and facilities to support health and wellbeing for all. Researchers from the Scottish Learning Disabilities Observatory will also share the latest research and education programmes to support healthy lifestyles for people with learning disabilities. Refreshments will be available.

The event takes place in the Byres Community Hub at 90 Byres Road, Glasgow, G12 8TB.
