How hate crime and violence impacts people with learning disabilities
This research looks at hate crime and violence.
We wanted to find out how hate crime makes people with learning disabilities feel and how it affects their health and wellbeing.
What we did
We held focus groups and interviews with people with learning disabilities across Scotland.
What we found
We found that everybody we interviewed had experienced hate crime or violence.
Hate crime and violence caused people with learning disabilities to have poorer health.
What we will do next
We will write a report to put on our website.
We will continue to find out how violence against women with learning disabilities affects their health.
